Tips for choosing a puppy

When deciding whether to buy a pedigree dog, you need to consider how your relatives and neighbors will treat it. Of course, if we are talking about a private house with a large fence, then those living nearby will hardly be against such a purchase. But if we are talking about residential conditions, the whining of a young puppy or the barking of an already adult dog can negatively affect relations with its neighbors. Also, the maintenance of a dog requires considerable financial expenses: visiting a veterinary clinic, feeding the animal and caring for it. To start a dog just for the entertainment of children or at whim is not worth it. Therefore, it is recommended to buy a puppy only with a strong desire, readiness and the possibility of keeping it in the necessary conditions, having free time for training and care.

You should know that all dog breeds are divided into 3 groups – service, hunting and decorative. Therefore, it is important to find out in advance what the dog is purchased for. You should not buy a dog from your hands on the street or on the market – in this way you can buy not only a non-pedigree dog, it can also turn out to be sick. Of course, it is better to choose with a specialist, but if he is not around, then you should try to do it yourself by contacting a nursery or bona fide breeders.

The first thing you should pay attention to is the presence of a pedigree in puppies. In this case, the dog should not have hybrids with other breeds of dogs. The ideal is the number of litter of no more than 6 puppies. It is not necessary to take the smallest puppy from the litter – often such puppies are more painful than their brothers. Before purchasing a puppy, it is advisable to show it to the veterinarian for examination. The strongest puppies are considered to be born in winter, having a shiny coat and a color characteristic of the breed.

If you want to choose the most courageous among the many puppies in the kennel, you can reach out to them or throw the keys not far from them: the panties will run to the sides, and the bolder will approach to find out what’s wrong. When choosing a puppy’s sex, you need to know that boys are always bigger and more aggressive than girls, and also less obedient and not so attached to their masters as girls. For hunting or for protection purposes it is better, of course, to take a dog. As a domestic dog, it is better to take a bitch, since they are more tame and calm. If there are children in the house, it is better to choose a decorative dog or small breeds. In any case, the temperament of the dog will depend mainly on its training and attitude to her owners.
